Verónica is a conservation ecologist with a particular interest in understanding the consequences of global environmental change for biodiversity. She completed her PhD entitled ‘Patterns of functional diversity and community structure of wading birds across UK estuaries’ at University of East Anglia in 2012 and currently is a post-doctoral researcher at University of Iceland. Her research investigates migratory decisions, individual level responses to environmental change and their consequences for population demography and distribution in a partial migrant population of Eurasian Oystercatcher breeding in Iceland.
